Thermal Vapor Recompression (TVR) Evaporators
Industries : Chemical
Anhydro Thermal Vapor Recompression (TVR) Evaporators utilize thermal vapor recompression to recompress a portion of the vapor from the vapor separator and mix it with steam to heat the first stage.
FEATURES
Process for TVR Evaporators
The process for TVR evaporators typically occurs across one or more stages by utilizing medium- or high-pressure steam in an ejector, which recycles a portion of the vapor from the vapor separator and mixes it with the steam. This mixture is then used to heat the first evaporation stage.
The steam consumption of a TVR evaporator ranges between approximately 0.3 and 0.07 kg of steam per kg of water evaporated, depending on the number of stages over which recompression takes place. This design offers a more cost-effective solution compared to direct steam-heated designs but requires motive steam pressure.
